ITL News

A mosaic of four STA1600 10kx10k CCDs which were all backside processed at ITL is used in the USNO Robotic Astrometric Telescope (URAT).See this link for more details.

Additional STA2200 CCDs have been added to the WIYN ODI focal plane to make a “half gigapixel” camera. The 5×6 array can be seen in the photo below after installation of the detectors.

ITL produced the back illuminated STA2200 Orthogonal Transfer CCDs for the WIYN One Degree Imager project. Engineering verification was completed by the WIYN team on September 17. See this link for details.

ITL completed delivery of the “First Article” LSST STA3800 CCD sensors for the LSST project. These 4k x 4k 10 micron pixel sensors have 16 video channels each and approximately five electrons read noise with a two second readout time. They have a peak quantum efficiency over 95% and are mechanically flat to less than 5 microns.
